Geneva Belle Bleicker

Geneva Belle Bleicker, 94, of Tamaroa, died at 4:38 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Geneva was a homemaker. She and her husband, Louis Ausburg, had operated the Ausburg Blue Room steak house for 25 years. She was a Baptist.
She was born August 21, 1907 in Ledford, Ill., the daughter of William and Dorothy (Sears) Roberts. She married Louis Ausburg in 1937, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 1958. She then married Louis E. Bleicker on January 17, 1962 in St. Louis. He passed away on Dec. 13, 1966.
She is survived by three sisters, Gwalia Roberts of Du Quoin, Kathryn Gillmore of Belleville and Gretchen Taylor of Wauchula, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating. Friends called from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park, Du Quoin.
